Summer Musical Theatre Ca

We are very lucky to run our Summer Musical Theatre Camps in the air conditioned comfort, and excellent, modern facilities of St Francois Xavier High School. (next door to St Patrick High School) We have three distinct areas where the kids get to practice and perfect their skills which will be on display for family and friends at the "end of week" productions.
The Drama area is used for staging the plays, theatre games to help everyone get into character in a fun way, as well as learning acting techniques to bring out the best in each performer.
The Gym is where our choreography team gets the kids in dancing shape for the show. Dancing may be a new skill for many students and others may have had dance classes before. Regardless of your level you will be able to be involved in song and dance routines to match your level of experience.
In the Cafeteria our Music Director will teach the songs which are the backbone of any Musical and the reason we love Musicals so much. "It's all about the songs" but a great musical is nothing without great dance moves and great acting.
It's almost impossible to reach perfection in a one week, three and a half hour a day rehearsal schedule and the focus is always on the learning of new skills, having fun, making new friends, and giving the kids a taste of what it takes to be involved in and putting on a show. We hope the valuable skills learned during our summer musical theatre camps will be the building blocks which will last a lifetime and get your child interested in musical theatre and the arts in general. You will be amazed at what you see at the end of the week, both on and off the stage!
Depending on numbers there will be distinct age divisions, each working on their own show: 6-7(8), 8-11 or 11-14 year olds*.
*Age ranges may change to even out numbers in each group
